Locke Street Starbucks hosts charity event for dogs

Locke Street South is one of the most dog friendly neighbourhoods in Hamilton. Morning or night, warm or freezing temperatures, you will always see people taking their pooches on a walk. On Saturday, April 14th, the Locke Street Starbucks will be hosting Cups For Pups, a charity event in support of Ladybird Animal Sanctuary.

For a $5 donation, you will get to take home some seriously cool Starbucks swag. You will get to pick between all different types of Starbucks cups – mugs, travel mugs, tumblers, and even water bottles.

Whether you prefer your drinks hot or cold, there will be some sort of cup available to suit your needs.

All proceeds from this event will go to Ladybird Animal Sanctuary. This Hamilton based charity focuses on saving the lives of animals that come from high-kill shelters and are at risk of euthanasia.

Ladybird Animal Sanctuary rescues all animals – cats, dogs, small animals, and even farm animals. They do not shy away from rescuing senior animals, animals with medical issues, or any other animal that would otherwise be ‘hard to adopt’.

Whether you have a furry friend at home or not, consider visiting Cups For Pups this weekend. You can enjoy your favourite Starbucks drink while your dog enjoys bottomless puppaccinos.
