Pancakes, Pyjamas & the Present

Join New City Church this Saturday morning for a family pancake breakfast.

After the breakfast patrons are welcome to join in on carol singing, creating edible Christmas crafts and listening to a story about the greatest present ever given. Feel free to wear your pyjamas!

The Polar Express Pyjama Screening

When: Saturday December 22, 2018 at 10 am

Help the Zoetic kick off the Christmas holidays with their famous Polar Express Pyjama Screening!

Bring the kids in their PJs to this special screening of the magical Christmas movie, The Polar Express. There will be all the hot chocolate your heart could desire!

Escarpment Train Exhibit

When: Saturday December 22, 2018 from 10:30 – 4 pm
Where: Royal Botanical Gardens
Admission: $10 – $18

RBG’s newest “G scale” model train experience takes you on a journey through four seasons of whimsical Canadian landscapes while telling the story fo how railroads shaped our history.

The Escarpment Train Exhibit illustrates three eras of locomotion history including the steam engines of the late 1800s, the streamliners of the 1930s and the powerful modern diesels of the 1960s up to present day.

Santa & Mrs. Claus in the Market

When: Saturday December 22, 2018 from 11 am – 3 pm
Where: Hamilton Farmer’s Market
Admission: Free

The Hamilton Farmers’ Market is gearing up for the holiday season! This Saturday you will be able to find Santa & Mrs. Claus strolling through the Market.

Santa & Mrs. Claus will be handing out treats for the kids, engaging them in activities and will be offering free photos.

‘Twas the Night Before Christmas

When: Saturday December 22, 2018 from 5 – 9 pm
Where: Westfield Heritage Village
Admission: $6.50 for youth, 10 for seniors, $12 for adults

Westfield’s ‘Twas the Night before Christmas program is an incredible way to get into the holiday spirit.

A fantastic fireworks display will light up the sky over the Jerseyville Train Station at 6:30 pm. Little ones can send telegraphs to the North Pole at the Railway Station, have a visit with Father Christmas at the hardware store, make a traditional Christmas craft at the one room log schoolhouse and enjoy a carol sing-along in the 1854 church.

Bennies & Beats

When: Sunday December 23, 2018 from 10 am – 3 pm
Where: The Diplomat
Admission: Free, food and drinks are an additional cost

This Sunday The Diplomat is opening their doors from 10 am to 3 pm for you to enjoy delicious brunch dishes while listening to live music.

Plan on bringing a big group? The Diplomat takes reservations in order to accommodate your party. Walk-ins are welcome, too!

Tim Hortons Free Skate

Winter Lights at the Rock

Thousands of festive lights lead you through a winter wonderland of charming Christmas melodies, festive sips and bites, and the Escarpment Train Exhibit.

Christmas Evening Tours at Dundurn Castle

When: Sunday December 23, 2018 from 7 – 11:59 pm
Where: Whitehern Historic House and Garden

Enjoy a unique opportunity to see Dundurn Castle decorated for Christmas in the evening.

Begin your evening with carol-singing in the front hall, followed by an extended tour of Sir Allan MacNab’s lavish home and a chance to taste an assortment of traditional Christmas foods served in Dundurn’s historic kitchen.
